Mike Wasserman joined me in the booth for a stacked GGMillion$ final table, and it did not disappoint. We got right into it — an early four-blind flip between ace-seven and ace-ten set the tone, and from there it was one big collision after another. A queens vs. ace-king suited flip went the way of the pocket pair to knock out a short stack, and a deuces vs. ace-nine coin flip sent another player packing when the ace paired up on the river. Rayan "Beriuzy" Chamas found himself all-in for the majority of his stack against nines and couldn't get there, and Rodrigo Selouan's run came to an end in a race that needed one more card to survive. By three-handed, it was Alisson Piekazewicz applying the pressure as chip leader, gunning for his first title, against Sven Andersson, who was looking to lock up his third. Heads-up play was a battle — both guys weren't afraid to put the chips in and pull the trigger — until an eleven-blind limp turned into a jam/call with jack-queen against ace-ten suited. Semi-flip, not a total coinflip, but ace-ten was live. The flop hit for spades, and when the board bricked out non-spade, Piekazewicz's ace-ten held to deny Andersson his third GGMillion$ title and pick up his first. Join in as I sit down with Miguel "Miggy" Rojas, two-time World Series champion with the Dodgers, right as LA starts its run at a historic three-peat. We start where it all began. Miggy grew up in Venezuela, signed his first pro contract with the Cincinnati Reds at 16, and left home for the States at 18 with barely any English. Then came seven years in the minors, with stops in Billings, Dayton, Lynchburg, Pensacola and Louisville, before the Dodgers and Marlins chapters of his career. He explains why he never let himself think about the big leagues, and why controlling what you can control is the whole game. If that sounds like variance to you, it did to me too. Then we get into what winning it all actually feels like. He talks about the 2024 and 2025 titles, the Game 7 homer and the defensive play that came with it, and why October is more mental than physical. And yes, we talk poker.
