Popular Poker Personality Explains The Value Of Streaming During Latest Online Poker Boom

Saturday’s partypoker POWERFEST action is in the books and there were several big scores from the day. The biggest belonged to ‘relentless,’ who bagged first place in the $2,100 NLHE [6-Max, PKO] tournament for $21,185.50 plus $33,764.08 in bounties.

Luke Schwartz has appeared on the Jeff Gross podcast and given a revealing interview about his career and his thoughts on the upcoming Galfond Challenge.

Schwartz is one of poker’s most interesting characters, known for his outspoken personality and flamboyant table behaviour he has polarised the viewers opinions. His postings on social media platform Twitter are some of the most controversial in the poker niche.

Online poker has advanced rapidly over the past decade with punters putting down Doyle Brunson’s renowned Super System to learn strategy from Twitch streamers.

With online poker players typically spending up to 70 hours per week learning and playing poker, the variety of strategies is constantly evolving.

That is why there has been such an emerging trend of viewers flocking to Twitch poker streams, with the top streamers regularly topping more than 10,000 viewers at any given time.

Here is a list of the top three streamers that poker players should follow...

CardsChat ambassador Jeff Gross will be among the commentators for the upcoming historic Triton Million charity event, a £1.05 million buy-in poker tournament, the largest in history.

Nick Schulman, who was mysteriously ousted from the WSOP Main Event broadcast booth, will be among the commentators. Liv Boeree will also rotate in to give viewers her expert analysis on the game of poker.

Jeff Gross, a popular Twitch streamer and high-stakes pro, has joined Team CardsChat as an ambassador.

With experience and success in high-stakes tournaments, cash games, and online, Gross brings a wealth of poker knowledge to the CardsChat community. He has $3.2 million in career live tournament earnings, good for the third all-time among players from Michigan.

Most of the Team RIU streamers are primarily online grinders. They spend most of their time grinding and streaming their online tournament sessions.

Jeff Gross is the outlier on the team. Gross, while still holding down a following on Twitch, finds himself at the live tournament tables more often than any other member of the Run It Up family.

Sarah Herring puts Jeff Gross to the test, something like the NewlyWed Game. In this edition of the WAG Diaries, where WAG stands for Wives and Girlfriends, Herring asks Emilia Gross a series of questions and then asks Jeff what he thinks Emilia would answer. Does Jeff live up to the hype? Is Emilia surprised by Jeff's answers? One thing is for sure...Gma Gross is a boss.

While Joe McKeehen was taking on and defeating other Main Event champs in one Sit and Go, Jeff Gross was doing the same thing with the entire PokerStars Team Online in another – emerging triumphant and claiming bragging rights in the PokerStars Turbo Series TwitchTV Showdown.

Lee Davy sits down with Jeff Gross to talk about goals, silent meditation retreats, the importance of energy, and why Twitch is integral to the poker ecosystem.

We can't all call up Olympic champions on Facetime, so if you happen to have one you may as well do so from time to time.

Jeff Gross, who we featured earlier today turning aces into quads while his friend (aka "the GOAT") Michael Phelps watched on Facetime, was making more news as his day kept getting better.

He shipped the Big $109 for $7,993.65, ahead of a total field of 444 players. Is Gross the excited type when he wins a tournament online?

So, you're sitting at home playing on PokerStars, streaming to a vast audience on Twitch watching your every move - who do you want calling on Facetime to pass the hours?
